There are no dangerous wild animals such as wolves, bears or pigs on Gökçeada, making the island an ideal place for nature walks and outdoor activities.

Transport

Transportation to Gökçeada is provided by car ferries and sea buses. You can reserve and pay your ferry tickets online via GESTAŞ's official website. When purchasing tickets online, you must be at the port at least 15 minutes before departure time. However, considering the busy conditions, it is recommended that you arrive at the ferry one hour before. If you prefer to buy your ticket from the box office, it is recommended that you be at the port at least 3 hours before your desired departure time, especially during busy seasons.
Transportation on the island is easily provided by cars and ATVs and motorcycles that you can rent from local businesses. Since transportation to everywhere on the island takes a short time, you do not need to rush to get to your destination. Please avoid speeding when traveling around the island; Be careful not to harm the goats that may suddenly appear on the roads. Getting anywhere on the island is easy and fast, so a calm and safe drive is always best.
On your journey to Gökçeada, enjoy the ferry and reach the natural beauties of the island safely. During your time on the island, you will have a peaceful and comfortable transportation experience.

Please avoid speeding when traveling around the island; Be careful not to harm the goats, sheep and rabbits that may suddenly appear on the roads.
